Fun with the "Golden Girls"

Well me and my girls had a fun afternoon on Friday, when I was surfing the web the other day I came across this website KittyKraft.typepad.com, and she makes the most beautiful cards, so I decided to have the girls over and make some flowers that they make on this website, we had so much fun. We started out making a hydrangea, it is alot of work, using the Martha Stewart hydrangea punch, we made just a purple hydrangea and it turned out really well, well I tried to make one using pale purple,a darker purple and a pale blue, well I was so pleased the way it turned out, the card I made also used layering nesties using the coordinating paper, I think it turned out really well. We also made a cornflower and queen elizabeth lace flowers, they are all lovely but loved the hydrangea the most. We also saw a bouguet of hearts which I made into a lovely card also, the cards are an awful lot of work but it was fun to try something different and spend time with "The Girls".

A series of cards

Here are a series of cards that I made in the past few weeks, the first one is from Make it Crafty, a digi image called Ornate Floral scroll, I did it for a friends son and wife's 3rd Wedding anniversary, its a gorgeous image that can be used for so many things. The next card is Zoe, also from Make it Crafty, she has "sooooooooo" much hair but was so much fun to color, I love brown and pink and loved coloring her. My next card is from Mo's Digital Pencil, one of my girls from Michaels, Alyssa is going to Brock university and she is a special young lady I wanted to do her a nice card wishing her all the best, she is a cutie. The last one is from Kennykdownloads, a fun one is my favourite christmas color this year, teal and red, just love, love, love that color scheme.

Happy Birthday Maureen

Well I have had a few busy weeks, most of you know that my job was terminated from "Michaels" but not to worry, I accepted a new job and start Tuesday at Home Sense, I am going to miss my buddies but not all the %^#&@*@&@^, so look for many more posts to come in the following weeks, I have done several cards but this one I am especially proud of, my favourite sisterinlaw Maureen turned 65 last week and I decided to do a Minitrifold scrapbook card, thanks to my buddy Gail for the link for the pattern for it, I love brown and blue and followed that color scheme, my daughter Nicole and hubby Don are on the left, my grandsons Wesley and Milo are next, aren't they cuties, hubby and me when we were in Jamaica in April, our new wee man due in December and of course Bryan and his lovely Katie are on the last picture, its a fun card to do especially for someone so special, She loved it!!!!

Bring on the Blue

Well grandson number 3 is on the way, my son and his fiancee found out friday that they are expecting a christmas miracle on the 20th of December, and its going to be a boy, my daughter has 2 boys so we have renamed our house "BoysRUs", its so exciting. So I made Katie and Bryan this card, I borrowed the title from my friend Tara, she did a card and it was so appropriate, I have used the Whiff of Joy image and have colored her with my copics and done with paper from a Baby Boy pad I found in my stash, isn't she cute.

Wishing hubby a very happy birthday!!

I had to do a few cards this week but the most important one I had to do was for the love of my life, I always do a romantic card but this year I did a fun one, its from Make it Crafty digi image humorous senior and I just made me smile, so I did with bright colors, not that this is what he wears, trust me, but I thought it would make him laugh. The other one I did was for a friend who wanted a 65th card for a friend who collects antiques, she loved it, it was very hard finding embellishments but I managed, the next card I did for my friend Karen who helped me at artists in the garden, its a center step card we learned from our friend Gail, thanks Gail for the sample, but it was fun to do. It was made with Martha's new punch Cherish!!

Room all cleaned and ready for more cards!!

Okay, I am a messy worker but my room is all cleaned up and ready to go again, its funny because everything else in life I do I clean as I go, but doing cards I am very messy, its okay, I can close my door when I am finished and not worry about it, but its all cleaned, it might look untidy but I know exactly where everything is and my copics are all back in their home location.

So now its time to clean my craft room, that will take me all of a day and give my card making a rest and get my house cleaned. Thanks Karen for all your love and support also my golden girl buddies for all your encouragement. Here are a bunch of my cards that I had for sale!!!
